The AFCEA Quantico-Potomac Chapter plans to award scholarships to highly qualified students from Quantico, Stafford, Fauquier and Prince William Counties. Subject to the availability of funds and quality of applications, scholarships will be awarded to students enrolled for the Fall 2026 academic year as full-time students. Students must prove acceptance and enrollment in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major that leads to a bachelor’s degree. The scholarship committee’s focus is to encourage students to pursue professional STEM careers, especially supporting AFCEA’s focus on military communications, cybersecurity, information technology, and network systems. Applications will be accepted immediately, but due NLT March 20, 2026
The AFCEA Quantico-Potomac Chapter scholarship selection committee awarded twenty-one (21) $2,000 High School Senior scholarships and six (6) $2,000 Undergraduate scholarships to outstanding students from the Prince William County, Stafford County, Spotsylvania County, Virginia area, including Marine Corps Base Quantico, City of Manassas, City of Manassas Park and City of Fredericksburg. In addition to scholarships, we provide educational grants. This funding is aimed at local schools from the Stafford County, Spotsylvania County, and Prince William County, Virginia area, including Marine Corps Base Quantico, the City of Fredericksburg, Manassas, and Manassas Park in the form of grants for the Science Teaching Tools Award and Science Fair Awards. This program promotes effective science teaching and enhances the abilities of capable teachers in secondary schools in the United States. Schools can purchase consumable supplies and/or equipment to augment science and technology experiments and activities in the classroom.
